Connection
Before connecting, disconnect the mixer and all other devices which are to be connec-
ted to the mixer from the mains voltage (unplug power unit or mains plug from the
socket).
When connecting the cinch inputs and outputs, use only shielded cinch cables suitable
for this purpose. For connecting the microphone input, please only use a suitable
microphone cable. Using incorrect cables may lead to interference.
To avoid distortion or mismatching which may damage the mixer, only connect output
devices with a cinch output to the cinch inputs of the mixer. Only devices with cinch
inputs may be connected to the mixer’s cinch outputs.
Also observe the connection values in the „Technical Data“ chapter.
The following applies for all cinch connections:
The white cinch jack on the mixing desk is the jack for the left channel.
The red cinch jack on the mixing desk is the jack for the right channel.
Connecting the inputs
LN-2 and LN-4 inputs:
There are two stereo cinch inputs available to which you can connect your reproduction devices,
e.g. radio, CD player or MP3 player. These inputs are suitable for connecting audio devices with line
level.
The inputs are not suitable for record players.
LN-1/PH-1 and LN-3/PH-2 inputs:
These inputs are variable inputs which can be influenced by their respective selection switches
(21 and 23). Depending on the switch position, these inputs can be used to connect a record
player or a CD player (or similar line device).
Before connecting, check the position of the respective selection switch (21 or 23).
Set the switch to the correct position. Before switching over, always switch off the
mixer at the POWER switch (16).
LN switch position A device with LINE level, e.g. CD player, MP3 player or radio, can be
connected to the appropriate input.
PH switch position Record player with a magnetic system (this system is used by almost
all DJ record players) can be connected to the appropriate input.
MIC microphone input (19):
You can connect your microphone to this input.
Connecting the outputs
MAIN output (20)
Connect a free cinch input from your main amplifier (e.g. AUX) to the MAIN output.
The REC output (20)
If you wish to record the output signal from the mixing desk using a recording device, connect the
recording input of the device to the REC jacks (20) on the mixing desk.
