ERASING A PRESET NUMBER
1. Display the preset number that you want
to erase by pressing the /§ buttons, and
press the 7 button on the unit.
2. “Clear?” is displayed on the display panel.
3. Press the 7 button on the unit within 4
seconds to erase the preset number.
If you want to erase all the preset numbers, press
the 7 button on the unit for 3 or more seconds
while a broadcast is being received.
SWITCHING THE DAB INFORMATION
DISPLAY
You can display information about the DAB station
to which you are listening.
The following information is displayed in turn each
time the FOLDER/CURSOR 3/4 buttons on the
remote controller are pressed.
q DLS (Dynamic Label Segment):
The text data included in the broadcast scrolls.
w Program Type:
The category of the broadcast being recived
is displayed.
e Ensemble Name:
The ensemble name is displayed.
r Time and Date:
The current time and date are displayed.
t Audio information:
The bit rate and mode of the broadcast
being recived is displayed.
y Channel and frequency:
The frequency is displayed.
u Bit Error Rate (0-100):
The higher the fi gure, the better the quality
of the received broadcast.

CHARACTERISTICS (SPEAKER A, B)
• Amp properties can be changed according to the
location speakers are installed.
Five types of characteristics can be selected.
Different characteristics can be selected for
Speaker A and Speaker B.

1. Press the MODE button on the unit for 3 or
more seconds or the SET UP button on the
remote controller.
2. Select “SPK A” or “SPK B” from the menu
using the 1/2 buttons on the unit or the
VOLUME buttons on the remote controller
and then press the ENTER button.
3. Select the desired characteristics from the
list below using the 1/2 buttons on the unit
or the VOLUME buttons on the remote
controller and then press the ENTER
button.

The default setting is FLAT.
A description of characteristics is given below.

Properties are fl at.
This enhances bass frequencies when speakers are
placed directly on furniture or on a rack.
If you feel that there is too much bass, select your
favorite properties from among RESPONSE1 to
RESPONSE4.
• RESPONSE 1
Cuts low frequencies 60 Hz or under by –12 dB/
oct.
• RESPONSE 2
Cuts low frequencies 100 Hz or under by –12
dB/oct.
• RESPONSE 3
Cuts low frequencies 60 Hz or under by –12 dB/
oct.
Also, raises the 400 Hz region by 3 dB.
• RESPONSE 4
Cuts low frequencies 100 Hz or under by –12
dB/oct.
Also, raises the 400 Hz region by 3 dB.
