Do not attempt to keep the trigger contact element
depressed with tape or wire. Death or serious injury
may occur.
Always check contact element as instructed in this
manual. Staples may be driven accidentally if the safety
mechanism is not working correctly.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
Before use
WARNING:
Never use the tool when the contact element does not
work in order.
The tool works only when the contact element is placed
against the workpiece and the trigger is pulled with the
contact element being depressed. Before use, make sure
that the contact element work in order by checking
according to the following procedure.
1. Before checking, make sure that the tool is not loaded
with staples.
2. Connect the air hose to the tool.
3. First pull the trigger only. And then release the trigger
and place the contact element against the workpiece.
(Fig. 2 & 3)
4. If the tool works in the above procedure, the contact
element does not work in order.
INSTALLATION
Selecting compressor (FIg. 4)
The air compressor must comply with the requirements of
EN60335-2-34.
Select a compressor that has ample pressure and air
output to assure cost-efficient operation. The graph shows
the relation between stapling frequency, applicable
pressure and compressor air output.
Thus, for example, if stapling takes place at a rate of
approximately 60 times per minute at a compression of
1.77 MPa (17.7 bar), a compressor with an air output over
40 liters/minute is required.
Pressure regulators must be used to limit air pressure to
the rated pressure of the tool where air supply pressure
exceeds the tool's rated pressure. Failure to do so may
result in serious injury to tool operator or persons in the
vicinity.
Selecting air hose (FIg. 5)
Use a high pressure resistant air hose.
Use an air hose as large and as short as possible to
assure continuous, efficient stapling operation.
CAUTION:
Low air output of the compressor, or a long or smaller
diameter air hose in relation to the stapling frequency
may cause a decrease in the driving capability of the
tool.
Lubrication (FIg. 6)
To insure maximum performance, install an air set (oiler,
regulator, air filter) as close as possible to the tool.
Adjust the oiler so that one drop of oil will be provided for
every 50 staples.
When an air set is not used, oil the tool with pneumatic
tool oil by placing 2 (two) or 3 (three) drops into the air
fitting. This should be done before and after use. For
proper lubrication, the tool must be fired a couple of times
after pneumatic tool oil is introduced. (Fig. 7)
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
CAUTION:
Always disconnect the hose before adjusting or
checking function on the tool.
Adjusting depth of stapling
CAUTION:
Always disconnect the hose before adjusting the depth
of stapling. (Fig. 8 & 9)
If a staple is driven too deep, turn the adjuster clockwise.
If a staple is driven too shallow, turn the adjuster
counterclockwise.
The adjustable range is 0 - 3 mm. (One full turn allows 0.8
mm adjustment.)
Hook
CAUTION:
Always disconnect the hose when hanging the tool
using the hook.
Never hang the tool on a waist belt or like. Dangerous
accidental firing may result. (Fig. 10)
The hook is convenient for hanging the tool temporarily.
The hook position can be changed.
When changing the installation position, remove the
screw with a screwdriver. Install the hook in desired
position and then secure it with the screw.
Flat nose adapter
CAUTION:
Always disconnect the hose before installing or
removing the flat nose adapter. (Fig. 11)
Before stapling on flat surface of workpiece, attach the flat
nose adapter to the contact element.
To attach the nose adapter to the contact element, press it
onto the contact element until the protrusion inside the
nose adapter fits the groove in the contact element.
ASSEMBLY
CAUTION:
Always disconnect the hose before carrying out any
work on the tool.
Loading stapler
CAUTION:
Always disconnect the hose before loading the tool or
removing staples.
Do not use deformed staples or staple strip. Failure to
do so causes poor staple feeding.
Always use staples specified in this instruction manual.
Failure to do so causes poor staple feeding.
Always return the pusher slowly and gently while
holding it with a hand.
Returning the pusher base with the pusher being
pressed does not allows staples to be loaded. Do not
press the pusher when loading. (Fig. 12)
