4.3 LOUDSPEAKERCONNECTIONS
·
In normal operating mode (i.e. one loudspeaker on each individual amplifier channel), the lowest terminal
resistance is2 ohm perchannel.
· Inbridgingmode (twoamplifier outputscombined) the lowestterminal resistancedoubles to 4ohm.
· The impedance intri-mode may notfall below 2ohm per channel.
·
Never connect theloudspeakers’minus terminalsto the vehiclechassis.
· Never connect the +12 V supply voltage to a loudspeaker output as this would destroy the amplifier final
stage.
If theamplifier isoperated withlower terminalresistancesor incorrectlyused asdescribedabove, boththe
amplifier and theloudspeakers may bedamaged. Thewarranty becomes voidin such cases.
5. OPERATINGELEMENTSANDIN/OUTPUTS
5.1 SETTINGTHEINPUTSENSITIVITY
The input sensitivity may be adapted to any car radio or tape deck. Turn the volume control of your radio to its
central position and then adjust the input-level control (3) to produce an average medium volume. This setting
usually provides sufficient power reserves at optimumweighted noise voltage.
ATTENTION:only reproduce loudtest noisesbriefly toprevent damagingthe loudspeakers.
5.2 LOW-PASS FILTERWITHADJUSTABLECROSS-OVER FREQUENCY
Iftheamplifierisusedasasubwooferamplifier,settheswitch(7)to“LPF”.Setthe desiredcross-overfrequency
with the control(6). Thismakes thefilter adaptableto the installed woofer’s sound requirements.

5.3 HIGH-PASS FILTERWITHADJUSTABLECROSS-OVERFREQUENCY
If the amplifier is to be used as an amplifier for satellite loudspeakers (mid-range/tweeter loudspeakers), set
switch (7) to “HPF”. Set the desired cross-over frequency with the control (5). Only the frequencies above the
set cross-over frequency will then be amplified. This effectively minimizes distortions caused by excessive
membrane movement atlow frequencies andsmall satellite loudspeakerswithout reducing thebass level.
5.4 BASS-BOOST
The bass-boost function(4) is usedto increase orequalize the lowerbass frequencies.
5.5 OUTPUTSFORCONNECTINGADDITIONALAMPLIFIERS
The input signal of the LINE INPUT connections Land R (2) is forwardeddirectly to the LINE OUT (1) Land R
jacks.TheLINEOUTconnectionsallowtheuseof additionalamplifierswithoutrequiringadditionalT-plugsand
cables.

(5) Cable fuse
(6) Toyourcar radio’sautomatic aerial connection
If your car is not equipped with an automatic aerial connection, connect this cable’s plus pole (+) to the
ignition lock.Anon/offswitch should be insertedin this case.Make sure that thisswitch is switchedoff if
the amplifier isnot used.
