3. Hazard, safety and warning notices
Incorrect use of the camera and accessories can be dangerous for you and others and
can damage or destroy the camera. We therefore ask you to read and strictly observe
the following Hazard, safety and warning notices.
Intended use
This camera is intended for taking digital photos and video clips. It has been
designed for private use and is not suitable for commercial purposes.
Hazards for children and persons with limited ability to
operate electronic equipment
The camera, accessories and packaging are not toys for children to play with and
should be kept away from children. There could be a risk of electrocution,
poisoning and suffocation.
The camera and accessories may not be used by children or persons with a limi
ted ability of operating equipment. The camera may only be used by persons that
are physically and mentally able to safely operate this device.
Electrical hazard
Switch off camera and remove batteries if a foreign body or liquid has entered
the camera. Wait until completely dry, as otherwise danger of fire and
electrocution.
Switch off camera and remove batteries if camera has been dropped or housing is
damaged, as otherwise danger of fire and electrocution.
The camera may not be dismantled, modified or repaired, as otherwise danger of
fire and electrocution..
Only use a power supply (not supplied) with the rated input voltage (6V, min. 500
mA) specified on the rating plate, as otherwise danger of fire and electrocution.
Disconnect camera from power by pulling the power supply out of the socket.
Connected power supplies (not supplied) can continue consuming power and can
represent a hazard.
A power supply (not supplied) may not be used during thunderstorms, as danger
of electrocution.
