3.8 Hair clipper maintenance
3.8.1 Important
• Never rinse the clipper with water.
• Clean the appliance every time you have used it.
• Make sure the appliance is switched off and disconnected from the mains when you
start cleaning it.
• Do not use abrasive, scourers or liquids such as alcohol, petrol or acetone to clean
the appliance.
• Do not immerse the unit completely under water. This will damage the unit.
3.8.2 Blade maintenance
To maintain your clipper in good condition, the blades should be
oiled every few haircuts.
Do not use hair oil, grease, oil mixed with kerosene ore any solvent. As
the solvent will evaporate and leave the thick oil, which may block the
blades motion. Only use the oil supplied.
• Remove the comb attachment from the unit.
• Turn the thinning adjustment wheel to the right to withdrawn the
thinning tool.
• Push the middle part of the cutting unit (blades ) upwards with
your thumb until it opens and then pull it off the appliance.
• Be careful that the cutting unit does not fall to the floor.
• Clean the cutting unit with the brush supplied.
• Oil the blades.
• Align and click the blades back to the unit.
• The plastic comb attachment can be cleaned by holding it under flowing water.
• Let it dry thoroughly before re-installing it on the unit.
