3.5 Using the adjustable hair length comb
Two adjustable hair length combs are supplied with the hair clipper.
The first adjustable comb can be used for adjusting the cutting hair length to 4, 7, 10,
13 or 16mm.
The bigger comb can be used for adjusting the cutting hair length to 18, 21, 24, 27 or
30mm.
• Slide the desired hair length comb into the guiding grooves of the clipper. Make
sure that the arms of the comb attachment have been properly slid into the grooves
on both sides.
• Hold the clipper with the blades upwards.
• Turn the adjustment wheel for changing the cutting length. The comb will slide
forward or backward until it reaches the length you desire.
3.6 Thinning function
With this function, you can reduce the volume of the hair without changing the hair
length. Use the adjustment wheel to change the thinning length.
3.7 Tips & tricks
3.7.1 General
• The person whose hair you want to cut should sit in a position where the top of the
head is at your eye level.
• The hair should be clean, well combed, tangle-free and dry.
• Ensure you have a firm, but relaxed grip on the clipper.
• Start clipping at the highest setting and reduce the hair length in small steps until
you reach the desired hair length.
• If a lot of hair has accumulated in the comb, remove the comb attachment and
blow and/or shake the hair from the comb.
• Use a slow and controlled movement. Do not force the clipper through the hair
faster than the clipper can cut it.
3.7.2 Clipping or trimming without distance comb
• Remove the adjustable comb .
• Move the blades only in a parallel position to the skin.
• Slowly and carefully move the appliance against the direction of hair growth.
• Only when trimming contours should the blades be positioned vertically.
• Make sure you do not tilt the appliance while it is touching the skin.
• Avoid intense movements while cutting.
