Listening to an External Audio Source
1. Connect an audio cable (not included) with 3.5mm stereo plug from an auxiliary audio
device to the AUX-IN jack of the unit.
2. Press the POWER/STANDBY
button to turn on the unit.
3. To select auxiliary audio input, press the FUNC button. The "AUX" indicator show on
display.
4. Turn on the external auxiliary audio device.
5. The volume and preset equalizer can now be controlled through the unit. Operate all
other functions on the external device as usual.
Notes:Press the POWER/STANDBY button to turn off the unit when you finish
listening.Don't forget to switch off the power of the external audio device as well.
Clock Setting
When the unit is OFF (power off mode):
Set Clock
1. Press the TIME SET button and the clock digits blink.
2. Press the VOL / HR + / - button to set hour.
3. Press the TUN / CH / MIN + / - button to set minute.
Set 12/24 Hour format
4. Press the TIME SET button again entering 12/24 hour format setting mode.
5. Press the TUN / CH / MIN + / - button to select 12 or 24 hour display format.
Exit setting mode
6. To save all settings and auto-exit the setting mode, wait for a few seconds.
iPod/iPhone Docking
If the docking port will not be used for an extended period of time, it is
recommended to
cover the docking port by using the "Dock Cover" insert (included).
1. Use the iPod adaptor included in your iPod and insert it into the docking area
 
No
adaptor required if you use iPhone. Your iPod/iPhone can now be inserted
into the
docking port by placing the connector on the bottom of the iPod
 
iPhone onto the
connector in the docking bay.
Note: - Please be careful when seating the iPod/iPhone into the docking to avoid
 
damaging the 30-pin connector on the iPod/iPhone or in the docking system.
2. Press the POWER/STANDBY button to turn on the unit.
3. Press FUNC button to select iPod/iPhone mode. The iPod/iPhone will start
 
playing
automatically and start charging immediately.
4. Press button to pause or resume iPod/iPhone playback.
5. Adjust the sound level by pressing the VOL / HR + / - button.
Note : The volume level cannot be adjusted using the volume control on
 
your
iPod/iPhone after being docked.
6. The iPod/iPhone charges even during playback.
Note : The iPod/iPhone will charge in all modes.
7. To remove the iPod/iPhone from the unit, press and hold the
button for
three
seconds to switch off the device and then gently remove it from the
docking
connector.
iPod/iPhone playback control:
- Press the
button to pause or resume the iPod/iPhone playback;
- Press the TUN / CH / MIN + or - button to skip to the next or previous song;
- Press and hold the TUN / CH / MIN + or - button for fast-forwarding or
fast-rewinding
during playback.
Treble and Bass Setting
The unit allows you to set your favorite Bass and Treble level.
Bass setting :
1. Press the main unit TONE button once (or press the Bass button from the remote
control) and the "BASS" indicator blinks on display.
2. Press the TUN / CH / MIN +/- button to set the desired bass level.
Treble setting :
3. Press the main unit TONE button again (or press the Treble button from the remote
control) and the "TRE" indicator blinks on display.
4. Press the TUN / CH / MIN +/- button to set the desired treble level.
5. Press the main unit TONE button to exit bass / treble setting mode.
Note : If necessary , you may also press the TONE button from the remote control to
reset the Bass and Treble level to normal (zero).
