/3cup sliced almonds

/2pounds blue lake
beans

/3cup water
Salt and freshly
ground pepper
to taste
Butter to taste
1. Roast almonds in a skillet over high heat.
2. Place trivet or steamer insert into a 4-quart or
larger pressure cooker. Add beans and water.
3. Close lid and bring pressure to first red ring
over high heat. Adjust heat to stabilize pressure at
first red ring. Cook for 2 minutes only.
4. Remove from heat and use Cold Water
Release Method, see page 10.
5. Place in a serving dish, dot with butter
(optional), season with salt and pepper if desired
and scatter the almonds on top of the beans.
