Use
• Grease the pans after they have been cleaned
• Plug the appliance into the mains socket
• Pre-heat at maximum temperature for about 10 minutes
• When you use the appliance for the first time, you may notice some smoke and odour as
protective grease burns off. The appliance should therefore be heated up for about 10 minu-
tes before you use it to cook any food and the room should be well ventilated while this is
happening.
• Place an easy-to-clean tablecloth under the appliance to protect the sureface of the table
from splattering fat. Because of the heat we recommend you to put the raclette-grill on to
a mat.
• In order to prevent damage to the non-stick coating, please use a spatula to lift the grilled food
off the plate. We recommend that you use the plastic spatula supplied with the appliance to
take cheese out of the pans. To avoid damage to the coated surface, never use knives or other
metallic objects to cut food in the individual pans or on the gill plates.
• Place the appliance in the centre of the table. The grill plate or the hot stone is meant for coo-
king small pieces of meat or your accompaniments to melted cheeses (bacon rashers, mus-
hrooms, onions, small sausages, etc.). The individual pans are meant to be used to melt the
cheese.
• Grillplate/Hot Stone: Pre-heat it first for about 10 Min.
