Note: If there is too little water for the rinsing operation in the water tank,
the “fill water tank” indicator will glow. Just add sufficient water to the
tank and the rinsing process will automatically continue.
Note: If the drawer is inadvertently removed, the “empty spent coffee
holder” indicator will blink. Just replace the missing drawer and the de-
scaling programme will automatically continue.
Note: If the selector knob for steam/hot water is unintentionally actuated,
the “ON/OFF” and “steam” indicators will blink. Just turn the knob to
the position and the de-scaling programme will automatically
continue.
Note: If, during the course of the de-scaling programme, the key is
pressed, or if there is a power failure, the programme will have to be
restarted from the beginning.
Driving off steam from the heating system
Before you transport the appliance, you must empty the heating system,
particularly if there is danger of frost damage.
■ Insert the mains plug, but leave the appliance switched off.
■ Place a receptacle beneath the steam pipe and
turn the selector knob for steam/hot water to
the position.
Then press the steam pre-selector key for
about 3 seconds (33).
Whilst the steam is being driven off, the
steam indicator will blink and the “ON/OFF”
indicator will glow. As soon as both indicators
are extinguished, turn the selector knob for
steam/hot water to the position.
Flex storage compartment
Any unnecessary length of flex can be stored in
the compartment located at the rear of the
appliance (34).
