Procédure
Introduction
Révisez les résultats de l’activité précédente : un système de poulies combinées réduit l’effort nécessaire pour
soulever une charge, mais augmente la longueur de corde à tirer.
Montrez, ou demandez aux étudiants de trouver, des photographies de grues au travail.
Objectifs :
Les étudiants devront :
1. identifier les types de poulies utilisés dans un palan à moufles.
2. démontrer de quelle façon les poulies fixes et mobiles fonctionnent dans un palan
à moufles.
3. différencier un palan à moufles des autres systèmes de poulies.
4. identifier les relations entre le nombre de cordes et la quantité d’effort nécessaire pour
soulever une charge.
Matériel
Chaque groupe de 2-3 étudiants a besoin de :
- 1 Ensemble K’NEX Leviers
et poulies
- Autocollants ronds ou
morceaux de papier adhésif
- Ruban à mesurer
- Verre de papier
- 1 ou 2 Morceaux
de papier d’aluminium
(15 x 20 cm)
- Marqueur de couleur
- Pièces de monnaie ou rondelles de métal
(environ 30)
- Journal de l’étudiant (un pour chaque élève)
- Dynamomètre 200g ou 5N (facultatif)
NOTE : Assurez-vous d’avoir en main suffisament de pièces de monnaie ou de rondelles métalliques
pour cette activité.
