Handleiding SMC 7908 VoWBRA
Het 2e scherm lijkt een stuk interessanter: het toont de standaard instellingen voor draadloos
netwerk. Hier kunt u niet het draadloze deel uitschakelen, dat kan alleen bij de Advanced Setup.
U kunt eventueel de naam (SSID) van het netwerk wijzigen en instellen of deze naam aan de client
PC’s wordt doorgegeven (Broadcast). U kunt dit wijzigen, maar het hoeft niet (zie nadere informatie in
het hoofdstuk over de instellingen van het draadloze netwerk).
De Wireless Mode biedt u de mogelijkheid om de router in te stellen op verschillende snelheden.
Mode 11b is 11 Mbit en mode 11g is 54 Mbit. De meeste recente apparatuur ondersteunt 54 Mbit.
Wanneer u Mixed kiest, zoekt de router zelf uit of er met een 11 of 54 Mbit apparaat contact wordt
gemaakt. In de praktijk kan het wel eens voorkomen dat 11 Mbit apparatuur niet goed contact maakt in
Mixed Mode. Zet de router dan in 11b mode. (LET OP: in 11g-mode zal een 11 Mbit apparaat sowieso
geen contact kunnen maken met de router).
