Frequenze medie (circa 10-20 Hz)
Lobiettivo dell’allenamento con frequenze medie da 10 a 20 Hertz (oscillazioni 
al secondo) è l’esercizio delle funzioni muscolari in quanto tali. Con una 
frequenza di allenamento di 15 Hz, ad esempio, la durata tra due cicli di riessi 
è di circa 67 millisecondi. Dopo la contrazione innescata dal riesso, il tempo 
restante basta no alla contrazione successiva, in modo che il muscolo possa 
tornare a rilassarsi. Questo perché il tempo siologico medio per un ciclo 
completo di contrazione/rilassamento è di soli 50 millisecondi circa. Questo 
è particolarmente importante quando si desiderano allenare le funzioni 
basilari del muscolo, cioè la capacità di contrazione e rilassamento, così come 
la coordinazione. Attraverso le grosse cifre di ripetizione (ad es. 3 minuti di 
allenamento Galileo a 18 Hertz = 3240 cicli) il miglioramento delle funzioni 
muscolari può essere sostanzialmente più rapido rispetto alla maggior
parte degli altri metodi di allenamento raggiunti con attrezzi in palestra.
Un fattore determinante è anche che l’attività dei muscoli nell’allenamento 
Galileo non viene controllata volontariamente, ma è basata su riessi ed 
è quindi indipendente dal desiderio della persona che si allena. In questo 
modo è possibile garantire che i meccanismi indipendenti composti da fasce 
muscolari/tendini/cartilagini-nervi possano migliorare in modo autonomo. Al
contempo è sempre possibile allenare l’intera catena muscolare e quindi la 
loro coordinazione. Determinante per questo allenamento della coordinazione
è che tutta la catena muscolare possa essere simulata seguendo un modello 
sensato simile all’andatura umana. Per questo parliamo anche di meccano-
stimolazione della muscolatura.
