The new KETTLER aluminium bike you have purchased, apart from being high-quality and easy-to-maintain, still requires some
care. Regular cleaning of the bike should go without saying. It is only by doing so that it is possible for all components to work
technically correct. Regular care also contributes to maintaining the quality of your bike. Never wash your bike with too strong a
jet of water or even with a steam cleaner. This could lead to dirt particles entering the bearings or the gaskets causing damage.
It is far preferable to wash by hand with lukewarm water and some cleaning solution. Your specialist dealer will be happy to
advise you on your choice of cleaning and care materials.
When cleaning look out for cracks, notches or similar damage and allow your specialist dealer to check them or to immediately
change the damaged parts. Damaged varnish can be applied with the help of original KETTLER varnish touch-up sets. Store
your bike, particularly in winter, in a dry room with a constant temperature. Parts prone to corrosion such as screws, chain etc.
should be treated as a precautionary measure, and in any case during the winter months, with the appropriate protective and
care materials.

Important Advice!
Do not apply grease or oil to the brake liners or to the rim’s brake surface. This can considerably reduce the bra-
kes’ performance. After each cleaning the braking equipment should be tested.
Please observe regular service intervals. A suspension fork does not require much service work, but it is not
maintenance-free.
