Den mængde vand, der hældes i inderskålen, afgør kogetiden. Som vejledning
giver 150 ml (1 kopper) 15 minutters damptid, og 300 ml (2 kopper) giver 30
minutters damptid.

efter madens størrelse og
temperatur samt hvor meget De
ønsker at koge den. Vandmængder
kan justeres.
Hvis dampkogningen ophører, før
maden er tilstrækkeligt gennemkogt,
skal der hældes koldt vand i
inderskålen, hvorefter maden
kommes i igen og låget lægges på.
Start kogningen igen, indtil maden
er helt kogt.
Damp, der har samlet sig i
riskogeren, kan bevirke, at maden
bliver ved med at koge, selv efter at
der er slukket for den. Fjern maden
omgående for at undgå, at den
koges for meget.
Små stykker koges hurtigere end
store. Stykker af ens størrelse koges
mere jævnt.
Højde påvirker den temperatur, hvor
vand koger og således kogetiden. I
bjerge er det nødvendigt at bruge
længere kogetider.

Hold ikke risene varme i mere end
en time. Små portioner skal helst
spises med det samme.
Opvarm ikke kogt ris i riskogeren
igen.
Løft ikke låget under varmeperioden.
Det frarådes at anvende riskogeren
til tilberedning af minutris og
lignende risprodukter.
Anvend altid grydelapper når
inderskålen, dampkurven og låget
fjernes fra apparatet.
