d) Connecting the cable (Fig. F)
1. Prepare the cable (outer diameter 6.8
mm) as shown in the illustration.
Screw on the supplied F-connector. In
case you use a cable with a different
outer diameter, procure a suitable F-
connector.
2. Loosen the two milled screws of the
LNB cover and remove the cover.
3. Lay the cable according to Fig. F and
connect the cable to the LNB by means
of the F-connector´s cap nut.
4. Now press the cable (outer diameter 6.8
mm) into the cable support. If you use a
thinner cable, put fi rst the supplied slee-
ve on the cable in order to compensate
the diameter.
5. Put the LNB cover back on its place.
8. Connecting and tuning a satellite receiver
1. Connect the fl at antenna with the satellite receiver by plugging the cable into the ”IF-Input“ on the satellite recei-
ver.
2. Connect your TV set with the satellite receiver by means of an audio/video cable. Select the ”AV“ programme
position on your TV set.
3. If you use the modulator output of the satellite receiver, select the same channel on your TV set to which the
output of the satellite receiver has been tuned. Save this channel on a free programme position on your TV set.
4. Alignment to the desired satellite requires that you select a corresponding programme position on the satellite
receiver (see programme table for the satellite receiver).
Detailed information regarding the operation of the satellite
receiver is found in the receiver´s operating instructions.
9. Positioning and affi xing the antenna
1. Gather the relevant elevation angle for the installation site
from the enclosed Azimuth/Elevation table.
2. Loosen the tightened elevation screws again and move the
antenna into the required elevation position. The angle can
be read off from the elevation scale on the mast clamp.
Tighten the elevation screw again slightly. For the following
steps you need a satellite signal meter or someone who
is watching the positioning procedure on the TV set. If you
use a Kathrein MSK ... signal meter, connect the signal
meter to the LNB (instead of the antenna cable).
Position the antenna in compliance with the maximum si-
gnal level the meter indicates. If the positioning is done with
the aid of a TV set, align according to best picture quality.
