Pull out the vacuuming material container from the
appliance using the handle that has been provided
for the purpose.
Empty the vacuuming material container and insert
it back into the appliance using the reverse se-
quence.
Note
The vacuum material container can be lifted by cranes
at the handle. Maximum load for crane transport: 50 kg.
CAUTION
Risk of injury and damage! Note the total weight of the
vacuum material container when transporting with a
crane. Do not overload the container. Observe instruc-
tions on lifting with a crane.
You can insert a dust collector in the vacuuming mate-
rial container to empty the appliance without causing
dust.
Do not use the dust collection bag for wet vacuum
cleaning!
Insert the dust collection bag into the container and
attach it carefully to the container wall.
Put over the edge of the bag over the rim of the vac-
uuming material container.
Insert the vacuuming material container back into
the appliance.
After finishing use, close the dust collection bag
and remove it from the vacuuming material contain-
er.
Dispose off the dust collection bag with its contents
according to the applicable regulations.
CAUTION
Risk of injury and damage! Observe the weight of the
appliance when you transport it.
When transporting in vehicles, secure the appliance ac-
cording to the guidelines from slipping and tipping over.

This appliance must only be stored in interior rooms.
DANGER
First remove the mains plug before doing any job on the
vacuum cleaner.
Have the vacuum cleaner regularly inspected according
to the respective national accident prevention regula-
tions.
Maintenance work must be carried out by a specialist at
regular intervals in accordance with the specifications of
the manufacturer. The existing stipulations and safety
requirements are to be here observed. Work on the
electrical plant may only be carried out by qualified elec-
tricians.

No periodic maintenance intervals are specified for this
device. The following maintenance is to be performed
as necessary:
Wash the filter.
Change the filter.
Replace the filter.
The filter can be washed out under running water.
Always flush the filter from the inside to the outside so
that no remaining particles impair the filter capacity.
ATTENTION
Risk of damage! Do not use washing agents or bleach.
Note: 2 persons are required to remove the suction
head.
Switch off the appliance and disconnect from the
network.
Release and remove the suction head.
Unlock and remove the spacer.
Take out the filter.
Check sealing ring for damage.
Pull the new filter over the filter vibrator on the
spacer such that the vibrating elements are aligned
centrally in the filter bags. Then place both parts to-
gether onto the filter ring and lock the spacer.
Insert and lock the suction head.
DANGER
First remove the mains plug before doing any job on the
vacuum cleaner.
Note: With correct direction of rotation a strong airflow
can be felt out of the opening of the exhaust muffler. Air
is suctioned with incorrect rotation direction.
Check the direction of rotation of the motor. Ex-
change the poles on the appliance plug if the rota-
tion direction is wrong.
Check the receptacle and the fuse of the power
supply.
Check the power cable and the power plug of the
device.
Turn on the appliance.
Clean filter.
Empty the container.
Remove choking of suction nozzle, suction tube or
suction hose.
Check the filter seat and correct if necessary.
Switch off the appliance, clean the filter or insert a
new filter.
DANGER
Have all checks and work on electrical parts performed
by an expert. If malfunctions continue, please contact
the Kärcher Customer Service.
