Bring the appliance to working position - secure it,
if required, with parking brakes.
Insert the suction hose into the suction hose con-
nection.
Attach the desired accessoried to the suction hose.
Ensure that the vacuum material container has
been inserted properly.
ATTENTION
The highest allowed net impedance at the electrical
connection point (refer to technical data) is not to be ex-
ceeded. In case of confusion regarding the power im-
pedance present on your connection, please contact
your utilities provider.
CAUTION
Check direction of rotation of the engine at every socket
change.
Note: With correct direction of rotation a strong airflow
can be felt out of the opening of the exhaust muffler. Air
is suctioned with incorrect rotation direction.
Check the direction of rotation of the motor. Ex-
change the poles on the appliance plug if the rota-
tion direction is wrong.
After vacuuming moist or liquid substances, observe the
notes in chapter "Changing from wet vacuuming to dry
vacuuming".
Plug in the mains plug.
Switch on the appliance at the rotating knob.
Perform the suction process.
Regularly check the filling level in the dirt recepta-
cle, since the device does not switch off automati-
cally.
Empty the vacuum cleaner waste container as nec-
essary (described in the chapter "Emptying the
vacuum cleaner waste container").
If necessary, clean or replace the filter (described
in chapter “Care and maintenance”).
Caution: Constantly monitor the fill level in the dirt
receptacle when vacuuming high volumes of liquid,
as the receptacle can be filled within a matter of sec-
onds and could overflow.
On completion of wet vacuum cleaning: Dry the fil-
ter. Clean the container with a moist cloth and dry
it off.
ATTENTION
Please note the following when switching from wet
to dry vacuum cleaning:
If you vacuum dry dust while the filter element is still wet
the filter will become obstructed and may be damaged
beyond repair.
Dry the wet filter properly before use or replace it
with a dry one.
Change the filter, if required, according to instruc-
tions under the section "Maintenance and Care".
Clean the star folded filter at regular intervals.
Turn off the appliance.
If dry suction material has been vacuumed, move
the lever for the filter cleaning back and forth sev-
eral times, but 5 times at least.
If this cleaning does not bring about any improvement,
then remove the filter and wash it or replace it (see
chapter "Replacing the filter").
Switch off the appliance at the rotating knob.
Pull out the mains plug.
Turn off the appliance.
Pull out the mains plug.
If necessary, dismantle the accessory and rinse it
with water and let dry.
Empty the vacuuming material container (refer
chapter "Emptying vacuuming material container").
Vacuum and wipe the appliance inside and outside
with a damp cloth.
If wet suction material has been vacuumed, re-
move the filter for drying.
WARNING
Risk of crushing! Watch out for moving parts when re-
moving and replacing the container.
Note
The vacuum material container must be emptied when
it is has filled up to approx. 3 cm below the upper edge.
Regularly check the filling level in the dirt receptacle,
since the device does not switch off automatically.
