6. Adjust the screw so that the spirit level indicator is
between the two lines.
7. T ighten the M 12 nut while holding the
M 10 hexagon head screw with an open-end
wrench.
8. T o check the new setting, move the device forward
a short distance in suctio n mode with the suction bar
lowered and obse rve the spirit level. Repeat the ad-
justment process if necessary .
Adjusting the height
The height adjustment af fects the bending of the suctio n
lips on contact with the floor .
Note
Standard setting: 3 washers above, 3 washers below
the suction bar .
Uneven floor: 5 washers abo ve, 1 washer below the
suction bar .
V ery smooth floor: 1 washer above, 5 washers b elow
the suction bar .
1. Unscrew the nuts.

2. Place the desired number of washers between the
suction bar and the spacer roller .
3. Fit the remaining unused washe rs above the spacer
roller .
4. Screw on the nut and t ighten.
5. Repeat the entire procedure at t he second spacer
roller .
Note
Set both spacer rollers to the same heig ht.
Adjusting the side pull o f the brush
(Only with D 51 cleaning head)
If the device pulls to one side during cl eaning, this can
be remedied by ad justing the b rush tilt.
Note
After changing the brush/pad, it may be necessary to re-
adjust the side pull.

Switching on the device
1. Assume a seated position.
2. T urn the key-o perated switch t o "1".

Note
The device is constru cted so that the cleaning head pro-
trudes to the right. This makes it possible to work clearly
and close to the edge .
1. Insert the Intelligent Key .
2. Pivot the suction bar lowering lever upwards.
3. Press the raise /lower cleaning head pedal down
and latch it towards the right.
4. Set the program switch to the desir ed program.
5. Drive the device.
a Push the driving lever forward.
The device moves forward.
b Push the driving lever backwards.
The devic e moves in reverse .
Note
The device moves only when the driving lever is moved
by 5°.
6. Release the driving lever .
The device stops.
Cleaning
AT T E N T I O N
Risk of damage
The floor covering can be damaged if t he device is op-
erated on the same spot for a long ti me.
Do not operate the device continu ously on the same
point.
1. Insert the Intelligent Key .
2. Set the program switch to the desir ed cleaning pro-
gram.
3. Pivot the lever downwards to lower the suction bar .
4. Press the cleaning head raise/lower pedal down,
move it to the left and let it go up.
5. Push the driving leve r forward and drive o ver the ar-
ea to be cleaned.
Note
When the waste water tank is full, the floa t switch closes
the suction opening and the suction turbine runs at a
higher speed. In this ca se, switch off th e vacuuming
function and drive to the location fo r emptying the waste
water tank.

Finishing cleaning
1. T urn the water quantity regul ating knob to "OFF"
(not for the DOSE version).
2. Release the driving l ever .
3. Press the raise /lower cleanin g head pedal down
and latch it towards the right.
4. Continue moving a sho rt distance.
The residual water is vacuumed up.
5. Pivot the suction bar lowering lever upwards.
Draining the waste water

1. Remove the drain hose from th e support and lower
it over a suitable coll ecting device.

4. Drain the waste water . Regulate the water volume
by pressing or kinking.
5. Rinse the waste water tank with clear water .
Waste water tank flushing system
1. Remo ve the wast e water dra in hose fr om the hold er
and lower it over a suitable collecting device.
2. Open the dosing unit cover at the drain hose.
3. Open t he waste water ta nk cover.
4. Pull the flexible cap of f the flushing system.
5. Connect the wa ter hose t o the flushi ng system.

6. Close the waste water tank cover .
7. Open the water supply and flush the waste wat er
tank for about 30 seconds.
If necessary , repeat the flushing process 2 - 3 times.
8. Close the water supp ly and disconnect the hose
from the de vice.
9. Reattach the flexible cap to the water inlet of the
flushing system.
10. Close the cover of the waste water tank. Press the
tank ventilation flap in so t hat a gap remain s open
and the waste water tank can dry .

1. Open the fresh water tank cap.
2. Drain the fresh water .
3. Clean the filte r .

er and pivot it down.
2. Reattach the hose.
Emptying the coarse dirt container

1. Lift the coarse dirt container and pull it out.

Improper cleaning

Clean the waste water tank with the waste water
tank flushing system.
Remove the coarse dirt filte r from the waste water
tank and clean it.
Check the turbine screen, remove it if necessary
and clean it.
Clean the exterior of the device using a damp cloth,
wetted with a mild washi ng lye.
Only with R cleaning he ad: Remove the coarse dirt
container and empty it.
Only with R cleaning head: Clean the water distribu-
tion strip.
Check the suction lips, check for wear an d replace if
necessary .
Clean the squeegee blade s on the cleaning head ,

Charge the battery .
Lead-acid battery:
If the charging state of the battery is below 50%,
charge the battery full y and without interruption.
If the chargi ng state of the bat tery is above 50%,
only recharge the battery if the entire operat ing
duration will be r equired when next u sed.
Li-Ion battery:
Recharge as necessary .
