Basic Functions
Switching the Unit On & Off
1. Power the unit as described above.
2. The unit is now in standby mode. The time will be shown in the display
3. To switch the unit on, press the STANDBY button.
4. To switch the unit off into standby mode, press the STANDBY button once again.
Function Selection
To select between CD and radio mode, repeatedly press the SOURCE button when the unit is
switched on.
Volume Control
Increase the volume by pressing the VOL button.
Decrease the volume by pressing the VOL button.
Dimmer
The display can be dimmed in 2 levels. To select between the settings press the DIMMER button.
Sleep Timer
The sleep function enables you to set a countdown timer after which the unit will turn itself into standby
mode automatically.
While in CD playback or radio mode, press and hold the ■ SLEEP/MEM button and release it
once you’ve reached the desired sleep timer duration (10 - 90 minutes in 10 minute intervals).
The display will show the sleep indicator and the unit will switch to standby mode after the set
duration.
To check how much time is left on the set timer, press and hold for 2 seconds the ■ SLEEP/MEM
button.
To cancel the sleep function, press and hold the ■ SLEEP/MEM button and release it once you’ve
reached “00”.
Clock
Clock Setting
The clock can only be set while the unit is in standby mode.
1. While the unit is in standby mode, press the CLOCK/PROG button. The time format will be
shown.
2. Select between 12h display and 24h display by pressing the TUNE / buttons. Conrm your
setting by pressing the CLOCK/PROG button again.
3. The hours will start ashing. Set the current hours by pressing the TUNE / buttons. Press
the CLOCK/PROG button again.
4. The minutes will start ashing. Set the current minutes by pressing the TUNE / buttons.
5. Press the CLOCK/PROG button again to conrm all settings. The time is now set.
Alarm
Alarm Setting
An alarm can only be set while the unit is in standby mode.
This unit enables you to set 2 separate alarms. You can select to wake to CD, radio or buzzer.
1. While the unit is in standby mode, press the ALARM 1 (or ALARM 2) button. The alarm 1 icon
(or alarm 2 icon) will be shown in the display with the hour of the selected alarm ashing.
2. Set the desired hour by pressing the TUNE / buttons.
3. Press the ALARM 1 (or ALARM 2) button again. The minutes will start ashing.
