Remote Control Batteries
Insert two 1.5V “AAA” batteries (not included) in the remote control.
Notes:
Pay attention to the safety information on page 20.
If the remote control is not used for a longer period of time, batteries should be removed.
If the remote control’s working range becomes less the batteries might be weak and should be
replaced.
Basic Functions & Getting Started
Switching the Unit On & O (Standby Mode)
1. Power the unit as described above.
2. To switch the unit on, press the Power button on the remote control once, or press and hold for
2 seconds the /MODE button on the unit. The unit will switch to the last mode used.
3. To switch the unit o (standby mode), press the Power button on the remote control once, or
press and hold for 2 seconds the /MODE button on the unit.
Mode Selection
To select between the dierent modes, you can either
press the /MODE button on the unit and then select the de-
sired mode using the CONTROL knob and then pressing OK, or
press the MODE button on the remote control, select the desired
mode using the ARROW </> buttons and press /OK.
Volume Control
Increase the volume by pressing the VOL+ button on the remote control or rotating the CON-
TROL knob on the unit clockwise.
Decrease the volume by pressing the VOL- button on the remote control or rotating the CON-
TROL knob on the unit counter-clockwise.
Mute
To mute the sound, press the
Mute button on the remote control. Press the button again to
turn the sound back on.
Equalizer (EQ)
This unit has several dierent equalizer presets.
To select between dierent EQ presets, press the EQ button on the remote control to enter the
EQ menu. Select the desired preset using the
<
/
<
buttons and then press /OK.
Display Backlight & Timeout Function
The display brightness can be adjusted in 3 levels (high, medium, low).
To select between any of these 3 modes, press the DISPLAY DIMMER button on the remote
control.
The brightness level can also be adjusted in the system settings menu (System Settings > Back-
light).
The Timeout setting in the same menu allows you to set a time after which the display brightness
dims from the set “On Level” down to the set “Dim Level”. Select “On” under “Timeout” so that
brightness will remain at the “On Level”.
Sleep Timer
The sleep function enables you to set a timer after which the unit will turn itself into standby mode
