Adaptor must be plugged in to operate. The unit does not operate on batteries.
Battery Backup Function
Two 1.5V “AAA” batteries (not included) can be installed as a backup option to maintain the time if
electrical power fails. In the event of a power outage, the time will not appear on the clock LCD Dis-
play, however, the clock will continue to operate and the actual time will be maintained. The clock LCD
Display and other functions will resume once electrical power is restored if using the backup battery.
The backup batteries should be replaced as needed. Remove the batteries if the unit is not used or
stored for long periods of time.
Basic Functions
Switching the Unit On & Off
1. Power the unit as described above.
2. The unit is now in standby mode.
3. To switch the unit on, press the STANDBY/ON button.
4. To switch the unit off into standby mode, press the STANDBY/ON button once again.
Clock Setting
The clock can only be set while the unit is in standby mode.
1. While the unit is in standby mode, press and hold the FUNCTION button on the unit or the TIME
SET button on the remote control. The time format will be shown.
2. Select between 12h display and 24h display by pressing the / buttons.
3. Press the FUNCTION or TIME SET button again. The hours will start ashing.
4. Set the current hours by pressing the / buttons.
5. Press the FUNCTION or TIME SET button again. The minutes will start ashing.
6. Set the current minutes by pressing the / buttons.
7. Press the FUNCTION or TIME SET button again to conrm all settings. The time is now set.
Alarm Setting
An alarm can only be set while the unit is in standby mode.
This unit enables you to set 2 separate alarms. You can select to wake to CD, radio or buzzer.
1. While the unit is in standby mode, press the AL. ON/OFF button on the unit or the AL1 (or AL2)
button on the remote control. The symbol
(or ) will be shown in the display.
2. Press and hold the AL. ON/OFF button on the unit or the AL1 (or AL2) button on the remote
control again. The hours will start ashing.
3. Set the desired hour by pressing the / buttons.
4. Press the AL. ON/OFF button or the AL1 (or AL2) button again. The minutes will start ashing.
5. Set the desired minutes by pressing the / buttons.
6. Press the AL. ON/OFF button or the AL1 (or AL2) button again to select the wake up mode.
7. Select between CD, radio (“rAd”), or buzzer (“bb”) by pressing the / buttons.
8. Press the AL. ON/OFF button or the AL1 (or AL2) button again to conrm your settings.
Activating/Deactivating an Alarm
To activate a previously set alarm, press the AL. ON/OFF button on the unit or the AL1 (or AL2)
button on the remote control while the unit is in standby mode. The alarm symbol
(or ) ap-
pears in the display. This alarm will now ring at the previously set time.
To deactivate a set alarm, press the the AL. ON/OFF button on the unit or the AL1 (or AL2)
button on the remote control while the unit is in standby mode. The alarm symbol
(or ) will
disappear from the display. This alarm is now deactivated and will not ring.
Stopping an Active Alarm
When the alarm is sounding, press the STANDBY/ON button to turn it off. The alarm will come
on again on the next day at the set time.
