Suivez toujours les instructions relatives à la température de cuisson gurant
dans ce manuel. Utilisez toujours des gants de protection résistant à la chaleur
lorsque vous utilisez la céramique ou la surface de cuisson chaude.
1. Allumez le charbon de bois en suivant les instructions de démarrage de ce
manuel. Ne déplacez pas et ne piquez pas le charbon allumé.
2. Ouvrez complètement l‘entrée d‘air inférieure et laissez le couvercle ou-
vert pendant environ 10 minutes pour permettre à un petit lit de braises de
se former.
3. Surveillez le gril à charbon de bois jusqu‘à ce qu‘il atteigne la température
désirée.
4. Laissez l‘évent d‘air inférieur légèrement ouvert. Fermez la soupape
d‘échappement supérieure et continuez à surveiller la température pendant
quelques minutes.
5. Répartissez les copeaux de fumage en cercle sur le charbon de bois incan-
descent. Veillez à porter des gants résistant à la chaleur lorsque vous mani-
pulez la céramique chaude et les surfaces de cuisson.
Maintenant, le gril extérieur Kanuk® est prêt à fumer.
Conseil: Pour prolonger le processus de fumage, faites tremper les copeaux ou
les planches de bois dans l‘eau pendant 15 minutes au préalable.
Important: Lorsque vous ouvrez le couvercle à des températures élevées dans le gril,
vous ne devez le soulever que légèrement au début an que l‘air puisse circuler lente-
ment et en toute sécurité. Vous évitez ainsi que la amme ne s‘embrase ou que la fumée
n‘explose, ce qui pourrait entraîner des blessures.
