Ⅲ The cartridge retaining clip is equipped with a special rotat ing disc
to allow the date to be set for changing the cart ridge (2 months
from date of fitting).
Ⅲ Turn the tapping switch ( ) on and draw off approx. 1/2 of the
contents of the tank through the water and steam spout.
CLARIS plus filter cartridges are available from your local JURA
dealer.
12. Disposal
Please dispose of old machines in an environmentally
neutral way.
Old machines contain valuable materials capable of being
recycled which should be salvaged for recycling. Please
therefore dispose of old machines via suitable collection
systems.
13. Trouble-shooting
‘Empty grounds’ ()warning lamp lights up:
–> Coffee grounds container is full
–> Coffee grounds container is missing
–> Residual water container has not been fitted correctly
No espresso/coffee comes out
–> Water tank has not been fitted correctly
–> Water tank is empty
–> Crank handle not correctly lowered for brewing
–> Cover is dirty (see section 9.3 ‘Cleaning cover’).
–> Machine is furred up
–> Coffee ground too finely

Difficult to lower crank handle or to rotate the cover
–> Follow the instructions in section 9.3 ‘Cleaning cover’.
If none of the remedies listed above help, please contact your dealer
or get in touch with the JURA Customer Service Department direct.
14. Service
When you send the machine for servicing, there should be no
water in the system. To empty the system completely, draw off
steam until no more steam comes out.
