Inleiding
Tock-Poker is een speciale oefenvariant van poker. Het verschil tussen normale
speelkaarten en Tock-Pokerkaarten is dat de achterzijde van de Tock-Pokerkaarten
gemerkt is. De merktekens helpen beginnende spelers bij het leren van het spel.
Aan de hand van de merktekens kun je inschatten welke kaarten er in het spel zijn.
Door goed te kijken leer je de waarde van jouw hand inschatten ten opzichte van
die van de andere spelers.
De markeringen
Aan de markeringen kun je twee dingen afl ezen:
- Is het een harten-, schoppen-, ruiten- of klaverenkaart?
- Is het een hoge of een lage kaart?
De aas is gemarkeerd als aas. Verder geldt: hoe groter het symbool, hoe meer de
kaart waard is.
Er zijn drie verschillende groottes:
• Klein
De waarde van de kaart is een 2, 3, 4 of 5.
• Middelgroot
De waarde van de kaart is een 6, 7, 8 of 9.
• Groot
De waarde van de kaart is een 10, J, Q of K. J = ‘Jack’ (boer),
Q = ‘Queen’ (vrouw), K = ‘King’ (heer).
• Ace (Aas)
De Aas is als enige kaart volledig herkenbaar.
De Aas mag in het spel als 1 of 11 gebruikt worden.
Voorbereidingen:
Net als bij het standaard Texas Hold’em wordt aan het begin van het spel het
startbedrag voor alle spelers bepaald. Dit is een vast aantal ‘pokerchips’ dat
iedere speler kan kopen aan het begin van het spel. Het totale aantal pokerchips
kan natuurlijk ook gelijk worden verdeeld over alle spelers.
Ook nu wordt de ‘Dealer’ (deler) bepaald door het trekken van een kaart. Degene
die de hoogste kaart trekt is de eerste Dealer. Het dealer-zijn rouleert beurtelings
en met de richting van de wijzers van de klok mee voor elke nieuwe ronde. De
Dealer is herkenbaar aan de ‘Dealer Button’ die voor hem op tafel ligt.
