7. Demagnetizing the head:
When the recording/playback head is magnetized, noise may increase during playback. In this case
demagnetize the head using a commercially available demagnetizer (head eraser).
Note: When cleaning, pay special attention not to damage any components.
CD PLAYBACK
INSERT DISC
1. Set the function selector (7) to CD/MP3 position.
2. Press PUSH OPEN (36) to open the CD door.
3. Insert a CD with the label facing up.
4. Close the CD door manually.
EJECT CD
1. Make sure the unit is in stop mode.
2. Press PUSH OPEN (36) to open the CD door.
3. Remove the CD carefully to the top without touching the surface.
4. Close the CD door manually.
5. Store the removed CD in its cover.
CD/MP3 DISC PLAYBACK
After inserting the CD the CD player reads the contents and displays the total number of tracks and CD.
1. Press CD (33) to play the first track, the display shows the track number (001) and .
2. Press CD (33) to pause playback, flashes.
3. Press CD (33) to resume playback.
4. Press CD (32) to finally stop playback.
5. Adjust the volume with VOLUME control (16).
6. Select EQ preset (13) by pressing FLAT, JAZZ, POP or ROCK.
7. Set the function selector (7) to TAPE position to turn the CD player off.
SELECT DIFFERENT TRACK (SKIP) DURING PLAYBACK
1. Press (37) or (38) until the desired track number is displayed.
2. The track will be played automatically.
3. Press (37) once to return to the beginning of the current track.
4. Press again to skip one track back.
5. Press (38) to skip to the next track.
6. Press +10 (7 remote control) to skip 10 tracks ahead.
SELECT A CERTAIN PASSAGE (SEARCH) DURING PLAYBACK
Press and hold (37) or (38) to search for a desired passage within the track. Normal
playback continues when you release the button. In search mode the volume is reduced

Up to 20 tracks can be programmed in any desired sequence.

At the end of the tape the unit turns automatically off.
AUTOMATIC LEVEL CONTROL
This unit is equipped with the latest Automatic Level Control (ALC); therefore, it is not necessary to
adjust the volume control during recording.
KARAOKE VIA MIC MIXING INPUT
Connect any dynamic microphone with 600 to 3000Ω impedance with 3.5mm jack.
Notes on tapes
1. Loose tapes may cause trouble. With a pencil etc. gently tighten the tape as shown in Figure 1.
2. To prevent recordings from being accidentally erased, remove the tabs with a screwdriver (see
Figure 2). If you want to record a tape whose tabs have been broken out, stick some cello tape over
the holes (see Figure 3).
3. Storage of tapes:
Do not store tapes in places which are subject to direct sunlight or near equipment that generates
heat; keep cassette tapes away from magnetic fields.
4. 120-minute tapes:
Since 120-minute tapes are very thin, the tape could adhere to the pinch rollers or be easily cut.
5. Endless tape:
Do not use endless tapes, as this could damage the mechanism of the unit.

6. Cleaning tape heads:
For maintaining the best condition of the deck and for a longer
lifespan always keep the head (recording/playback/erase),
capstan and pinch rollers clean.Clean as follows:
1. Open the cassette compartment.
2. Use a cotton swab dipped in alcohol to clean the head
(recording/playback/erase), capstan and pinch roller
carefully.
