FIRST USE
I FILLING WITH WATER
ATTENTION! Before lling the boiler, switch off the appliance and remove the plug from the socket.
• Fill the boiler exclusively with water, possibly distilled, or with tap water with a low mineral
content. The formation of limescale in the appliance can cause the machine to overheat and
clog the steam outlet ducts.
• The ironing system must rest on a at surface.
• Turn the cap (4) anticlockwise until it is completely unscrewed.
Empty the boiler of any residual water. Pour the water only when the boiler is empty.
• Place a funnel over the lling opening.
• Pour in an adequate quantity of water (with empty tank min 0.2 l. - max 0.5 l.).
ATTENTION: Do not pour more than 500 cc (0.5 l) of water. Never exceed this amount!
• Remove the funnel.
• Replace the cap by turning it clockwise until it is screwed in completely.
ATTENTION: Make sure that the cap is screwed on well and the tank is therefore tightly closed.
CONNECTING THE IRONING SYSTEM - ATTENTION!
• Only connect the appliance if the mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage shown on
the technical data plate.
• The power cable and the pipe connecting the iron to the boiler must not be visibly damaged.
• The water tank must be lled with enough water (min 0.2l. - max 0.5l.)
• Do not in any way impede the release of steam from the iron soleplate.
• At this point, press the boiler heating switch (1); the switch lights up (this operation is not
necessary if you want to iron dry).
• The ironing system is on and in operation; the water heats up and steam is created.
• When the ironing system is ready, the light (3) is on; wait for the iron to be ready for use
before dispensing steam (see next paragraph).
• It is normal for the lights to go on and off during operation. This indicates that the
thermostats that control the temperature are working properly.
TURNING ON THE IRON
• After connecting the ironing system to the mains, you can switch on the iron by pressing the
switch (2) located on the ironing system. The switch (2) and the light on the iron will light
up to indicate that the iron is on.
• Adjust the knob of the iron according to the fabric.
• The iron is ready for use when the light on the iron (5) is off and when the light (3) on the
body of the boiler is on. When both the iron and the boiler are ready for use, you can press
the button on the iron to dispense steam. To have a continuous jet, you can lock the steam
button on the iron with the appropriate lever.
POUR MORE WATER INTO THE BOILER
ATTENTION! Do not open the boiler cap during operation and before the boiler has cooled
down properly!
To rell the tank, proceed as follows:
• Turn off the boiler (1) and iron (2) switches.
• Pull the plug out of the socket and let the machine cool down for at least 5 minutes.
• Slowly turn the cap 2-3 turns anticlockwise, allowing the residual steam in the boiler to
