Extracting juice with steam

4 Steam with pressure

Food to be juiced Time in

Soft fruit,

e.g. berries

20-35

Medium hard fruit,

e.g. apples

30-45

Hard fruits,

e.g. quinces

40-50

Proceed as follows:

^ Put the prepared vegetables/fruit

(cleaned, washed, chopped etc.) into

a perforated cooking container.

^ Place the container in the appliance.

^ Place the solid container underneath

to catch the juice.

^ Select Steam with pressure 4.

Select the total time (see chart) and

start the programme.

To bottle the juice, pour it, whilst still

hot, into hot, sterilised bottles up to the

rim and then seal immediately with

sterilised rubber tops.

Reheat

The Steam 3 function is very effective

at reheating food which has been

prepared previously.

Proceed as follows:

Place the food on a flat plate and

cover it with a deeper plate or some

heat-resistant foil. Then place the

plate on the rack in the oven.

Select Steam 3.

Reduce the recommended

temperature to 95 °C.

Select a time of between 3-5 minutes,

depending on the type of food and start

the programme.
