L’apparecchio deve avere la messa a terra. In caso di malfunziona-
mento o guasto, la messa a terra fornisce un percorso di minore resis-
tenza per la corrente elettrica per ridurre il rischio di scosse elettriche.
L’apparecchio è dotato di un cavo con un conduttore di messa a terra
e una spina con messa a terra. La spina deve essere inserita in una
presa adatta, correttamente installata e con messa a terra in confor-
mità a tutti i codici ed ordinanze locali.
L’errato collegamento del conduttore di messa a terra può provocare
un rischio di scossa elettrica. Il conduttore con isolante che ha una su-
perficie esterna verde con o senza bande gialle è il conduttore di mes-
sa a terra. Se è necessario riparare o sostituire il cavo o la spina, non
collegare il conduttore di messa a terra ad un terminale in tensione.
Controllare con un elettricista o un riparatore qualificato se le istruz-
ioni di messa a terra sono completamente comprese, o in caso di
dubbio se l’apparecchio è collegato correttamente. Non modificare la
spina dell’apparecchio - se non si inserisce nella presa, far installare
una presa adeguata da un elettricista qualificato.
L’apparecchio va usato su un circuito nominale di 220-240V ed ha una
spina che assomiglia alla spina illustrata nel disegno (A). Un adatta-
tore provvisorio, che assomiglia all’adattatore illustrato nei disegni (B),
se non è disponibile una presa con messa a terra. L’adattatore provvi-
sorio dovrebbe essere utilizzato solo fino a che una presa con messa
a terra non sia installata da un elettricista qualificato. L’orecchietta
rigida verde, l’aletta, ed simili, che si estendono dall’adattatore devono
essere collegati ad una messa a terra permanente come un coperchio
con presa con messa a terra. Ogni volta che si usa l’adattatore, deve
essere avvitato con la vite metallica.
