With both dampers in the middle position, the highest effi ciency is achieved. Postpone every
new fi ring till the ember is suitably low.
Firing in general
Rapid or fi erce heat
Rapid or fi erce heat is obtained by burning many small pieces of wood.
Maximum amounts of fuel
The stove is approved for a maximum hourly burning of:
2,0 kg wood 1,6 kg briquettes 1,2 kg coal or 0,9 kg coke
If these limits are exceeded, the stove will no longer be covered by the factory guarantee, and
it may also become damaged due to excessive heat.
Prolonged burning time
Prolong the burning time by burning a few (at least 2) very large pieces of wood while at
the same time closing the thermostatic control. The burning time can also be prolonged by
setting the sliding damper in the door to half-open, though never more than would make the
glass pane sooty.
When fi ring the fi rst time, the sliding damper (2) is regulated 2-3 mm down. Then no further
adjusting is necessary. This is done automatically. However the temperature can be adjusted
down with the regulation rod (1). Moving the rod to the left reduces burning and prolongs the
burning time. Postpone every new fi ring till the ember is suitably low.
Nominal operation is achieved with regulation rod (1) fully open and sliding damper (2) 7,5
mm open.
Insuffi cient fi ring
If the fi reproof materials in the combustion chamber are blackened after a fi re, then the stove
is polluting, and the automatic air fl ow regulating system is malfunctioning. It will be necessary,
therefore, to open the thermostatic controller. It may also be necessary to burn more wood.
Cleaning the glass
We recommend wiping the glass after a fi re. This is best done using a paper towel
Be aware that using fuels other than wood will cause soot to form on the glass pane.
Types of fuel
We recommend using birch or beechwood, which has been split and stored for
at least one year outdoors under cover. Wood stored indoors tends to become
too dry and burn too quickly.
Briquettes give off a lot of heat. Certain types expand considerably, thus causing
an uncontrollable combustion.
Briquettes are very poor in gas and must therefore be used in the same way as
coke. Furthermore, briquettes are good when terminating the fi ring of the day,
as they can burn throughout the night.
