1. Smoke shelf: Stove B1, B2, B3: To be placed on top of the steel rail and on the holders in the sides.
Stove B4, B5: To be placed in the rail of the rear plate and on the holders in the sides..
2. Baffle plate. Is hung up in 3 hooks under the top plate. The front, middle hook has an extra bent flap as
transport security. This flap is however to be remove before mounting the stove. Use a screwdriver to do
this. In stoves with cooking section, the baffle plate is buckled in the bottom under the cooking section
(HWAM Monet H, HWAM Beethoven H, HWAM Ravel).
3. Cover plate. Should always cover the grate.
4. Rear smoke outlet (not HWAM 30). At the factory this is sealed with a cast cover plate, and an
internal cover plate. The smoke outlet is therefore hidden behind the plate.
5. Removable rear plate, covering automatic controls. This must always be mounted if the stove is placed
next to a combustible wall.
6. Loose heat shield under the ash pan. This can be used as a lid when the ash pan is removed for
emptying.
7. There is an extension with a basket for kindling in HWAM Monet with drawer and HWAM Monet
H with drawer.
Connection to chimney
All the stoves have both rear and top smoke outlet (HWAM 30 only has a top outlet)
that can be connected to an approved steel chimney on top or directly out at the rear to a chimney.
Make sure that the chimney is tight and that no false draft is caused around neither the cover plate, in
connection with a covered smoke outlet, nor the cleanout door and pipe connections. Please note that
bent and/or horizontal smoke pipes will reduce the effect of the chimney draft.

1. Steel chimney.
2. Flue gas elbow. Fits into smoke flue socket.
3. Brick-built jamb of flue.
4. Built-in pipe sleeve. Fits smoke flue.
5. Wall rosette. Covers disruption to wall around pipe sleeve.
6. Joint. Sealed with packing material.
7. Smoke outlets of the HWAM stove.
8. External cover plate behind the smoke outlet. This is removed when the stove is connected via the
rear.
9. Cover for back outlet/hotplate for top outlet.
10. Inside cover.
11. Fitting bolt.
12. Smoke flue regulating damper.
13. Soot door.
14. Smoke pipe for rear outlet (remove cover and inner cover plate).
Cover plate (Drawing D)
Your HWAM woodburning stove is supplied with a loose cover plate for the shaking grate. This is a 3
mm thick iron plate. It is placed on top of the shaking grate and prevents the embers from falling into
the ash pan. The cover plate is raised approx. 8 mm above the grate, thus ensuring that the automatically
controlled primary combustion air is distributed evenly at the base of the combustion chamber.
Chimney
The chimney is the “engine” of the stove and it is crucial for the functioning of the woodburning stove.
