Setting up the system
1a. Mains operation
Insert the plug at the end of the 9 V power
supply into the corresponding jack on the
rear side of the acoustic RF receiver. Then
plug the power supply unit into the normal
230 V socket in your house.
Power failure backup
Please note that the device is designed for
mains operation. The battery and recharge-
able battery are used as backup only in the
event of a power failure.
1b. Inserting the battery
The acoustic RF receiver can also be power-
ed by a 9 V block battery (not included with
the device).
There is a battery compartment
located on the rear side of the acoustic RF
receiver. Open it by sliding the cover of
the battery compartment to the right of the
receiver using your thumb. Connect a 9 V
block battery to the connector plug, place
the battery into the recess and close the re-
ceiver again. When the battery is connect-
ed, the receiving signals may be triggered
once.
1c. Inserting the rechargeable battery
The acoustic RF receiver can also be power-
ed
by a rechargeable battery (A-2995-0),
which is available as a special accessory.
Open it by sliding the cover of the battery
compartment to the right of the receiver using
your thumb. To connect the rechargeable
battery, insert the battery plug into the outlet
in the battery compartment. The separate re-
chargeable battery connection makes sure
that a 9 V block battery will not be rechar-
ged by mistake. The rechargeable battery is
recharged when the acoustic RF receiver is
connected to the mains power supply.
Prior to using the recharge-
able battery for the first time, it
must be recharged for 12
hours.
For rechargeable battery op-
eration, use and recharge only
the special rechargeable bat-
tery A-2995-0. Rechargeable
batteries cannot be recharged
using the 9 V block battery
connection!
2. Setting the correct radio channel
A special digital transmission process en-
sures that the radio signals are picked up
without errors. This process also makes it
possible to set 10 different radio channels.
When supplied from the factory, all acoustic
RF receivers are set to channel 0. It is only
necessary to set units to other channels if
you have several different users operating
units in the same building. Set the required
channel by using a small screwdriver to turn
the channel selector switch, which is loca-
ted on the right side of the unit, to the requi-
red channel number.
All transmitters and receivers must be set to
the same channel.
