Attention!!! This air conditioner has a built-in self-protection system. If the equipment is switched-off, you
should wait for three minutes before restarting it. In this manner, the refrigerant will be able to stabilise
again. If you switch-on your equipment earlier and the refrigerant has not settled sufficiently, a safety mes-
sage will appear: “The compressor will not start up”. The compressor will start up automatically only after a
couple of minutes.
You air conditioner will automatically dehumidify the air in the room. The water that is removed will be
stored in the built-in collection tank and then immediately “re-evaporated” and removed via the hot air
exhaust hose.
In the case of models with an alarm lamp, the collection tank may fill up in case of extreme humidity (the
air conditioner will stop automatically). In such case, you should remove the cap on the drainage pipe on
the back of the equipment (left, bottom). You can now drain the water out of the collection tank. After you
have done this, you may replace the cap, and the air conditioner will start up again.
MAINTENANCE
In principle, the air conditioner is maintenance-free, but we would advise you to perform the following
actions to maintain your air conditioner in good condition.
Filter -> Can be washed out with soap. Once every 14 days in case of normal use. Use a brush to remove the dust.
Maintenance of the cabinet and the control panel -> Use a moist cloth to clean the equipment (do not use
chemicals).
End of the season -> Allow the remaining water to drain out of the water tank via the drainage pipe. Start
the fan for a brief period in order to dry out the interior of the air conditioner. Remove the plug from the
socket outlet. Cover the equipment.
How should the air conditioner be installed and can I do it myself or should I call in a specialist??
The installation is very easy and you can easily do it yourself. This air conditioner is suitable for both perma-
nent as well as temporary installation. See the section on Installation, for a step-by-step guide.
Is it really necessary to connect the discharge hose??
In the cooling function, it is necessary to place the discharge hose on the air conditioner and to lead the
same outside the room. During the cooling function, and enormous quantity of heat and moisture is
released, which will directly come back into the room if the hose is not connected. In the ventilation posi-
tion, the use of a discharge hose is not required.
The discharge hose becomes quite hot, is this true??
This is true. The discharge hose is used for removing hot air and will remove a lot of hot air if the equip-
ment is working properly. That is why discharge hose becomes hot due to the hot air flow.
Attention!!! The exhaust hose for hot air should not be folded or jammed in. The environment for the
exhaust of hot air should be kept sufficiently clean and should not be blocked or covered.
TIP: One may draw a comparison to the black grill behind a refrigerator in this context. This grill is also pro-
vided for removing hot air from the cooling cabinet.
Can I connect the chimney flue or any other air exhaust system??
It is possible to connect the exhaust hose to an external air exhaust system such as the chimney flue. It is
however important that the channel in question should have sufficient cooling power. If the air conditioner
switches-off after a few seconds, this would indicate that the discharge channel selected is not suitable. If
the air conditioner continues to function normally, one may continue to use this channel. If the air condi-
tioner itself switches-off after a couple of minutes, the external discharge method you have selected is not
adequate.
