THE WORKING OF THE AIR CONDITIONER:
The air conditioner that you have purchased sucks in warm air and passes it over cooling elements. The
cooled air is blown back into the room through the grill.
The hot air is conveyed outside over the flexible exhaust hose. Moisture in the hot air condenses and is
passed out along with the hot air thanks to a revolutionary system. Thus, unlike with most air conditioners,
you do not need to empty a water reservoir regularly.
THE ENVIRONMENT:
For the optimum functioning of the equipment, the following five factors are important:
The environment in which the equipment is located.
The temperature.
The degree of humidity.
The purity of the air
The air stream.
1. THE ENVIRONMENT OF THE AIR CONDITIONER:
The environment within which the equipment is placed is of course the most important factor.
Good cooling is not dependent solely on the number of cubic metres that the air conditioner has to process.
There are factors that have an effect on the optimum working of the equipment.
AMBIENT CONDITION POSSIBLE ACTION
presence or absence of (good) sun protection: screen-off and prevent direct sunlight to the extent
possible
large/small amount of lighting: switch-off the lighting to the extent possible.
large/small amount of glass: try to screen-off the sunlight to the extent possible.
presence or absence of (good) insulation: Ensure that the room be cooled is optimally insulated.
Keep doors and windows closed as far as possible
flat roof or V-roof: -
number of persons: each person within a room emits heat of between
100 and 150 W. It is hardly surprising that the cooling
of the equipment will fall according to the number of
persons in the room
the location of the room; in the South, North, East and West:-
2. THE TEMPERATURE
The most important task of the air conditioner is to remove the heat from the room and to convey it out-
side. The higher the temperature in the room, the longer it takes to remove the heat.
The air conditioner has a certain capacity (see Technical Data). Please remember that we are speaking of an
optimum environment! Ensure that the air conditioner is placed in the room that is suitable for the same.
It should be possible to maintain rooms that are larger than the specified capacity at a reasonable tempera-
ture (provided the ambient conditions are suitable for the same). In such case, it is important to switch-on
the air conditioner when the temperature in the room is still pleasant. Smaller rooms will not be under-
cooled since the thermostat will automatically control the desired temperature (for the working tempera-
ture, see the Technical Data).
When cooling is taking place, the air exhaust hose should always be connected. This is in order to prevent
the hot air from getting back into the room, which will make the temperature rise instead of falling. In
addition, this exhaust also ensures the processing of all the moisture that the equipment simultaneously
removes from the air during the cooling.
TIP!!! Start the air conditioner when the temperature is still reasonably pleasant. This way, you will be able
to maintain the temperature at a reasonably stable level (depending on the environment). This applies in
particular to environments that are affected by the sun to a lot extent, such as for example flat roofs,
greenhouses and attic rooms with poor insulation.
