Das Auto-Format ist ebenfalls manuell wählbar. Im Auto-Modus
werden die verschiedenen Signale für Sendungen, die entweder
im konventionellen (4:3) oder Breitbildformat (16:9 bzw. 14:9)
ausgestrahlt werden, automatisch festgestellt. Danach schaltet
der Fernseher automatisch auf das richtige Bildschirmverhältnis
um.
Diese Sendung wird im
Breitbildformat
übertragen. Das Bild füllt
den gesamten Bildschirm
aus.
Das 14:9-Format ist der
Mittelwert zwischen 4:3-
und 16:9-Signalen.
Das 4:3-Sendesignal
ergibt schwarze Streifen
an den Bildschirmrändern,
die auf die
Bildschirmkomprimierung
zurückgehen.

Diverse Sender übertragen nunmehr Spielfilme und Programme im echten Breitbildformat. In Ihr
Fernsehgerät ist Software eingebaut, die diese Signale erkennt und Ihr Fernsehgerät automatisch auf
das richtige Format schaltet. Einige Sendeanstalten übertragen dieses automatische Erfassungssignal
jedoch nicht, weshalb Ihr Fernsehgerät nicht erkennt, welches Format übertragen wird. Ihr Bildformat
läßt sich manuell durch Betätigen der -Taste auf lhrer Fernbedienung wählen, mit deren Hilfe Sie
die Bildformatoptionen durchgehen können. Die Bildformate sind untenstehenden Beispielen zu
entnehmen.
