16. After operation, turn the appliance off by pressing the switch (2a), then unplug it and remove
the water tank.
CAUTION! Do not turn the dehumidifier back on for at least 10 minutes!
EMPTYING THE WATER TANK
1. Empty the water tank (9) when the appliance indicates the necessity by the red indicator
light (2j) and after each use.
WARNING! Before removing the tank, disconnect the device from the ma-
ins and wait 5 minutes for the remaining water to drain into the tank.
2. Open the water tank door (8) and firmly but gently remove
the tank from the case (Fig. 2).
3. Remove the rubber plug from the tank and empty the water
tank to the sink.
4. Replace the rubber plug and reinstall the water tank. When
the tank is replaced, the dehumidifier will resume operation
if the appliance was running.
CAUTION! When emptying the tank, do not touch the inside of the appli-
ance. Do not touch the sensor inside the tank to avoid the risk of damaging
it.
CONNECTING THE DRAINING HOSE
To enhance dehumidifying you may connect a draining hose (13) transferring the condensed
water to an external vessel or a draining system. Complete the following steps to connect the
draining hose:
1. Turn the appliance off using the switch (2a).
2. Unplug the power cord. Ensure a good access to the back panel (Fig. 3).
3. Remove the drain cover (10) from the door (8) (Fig. 4). Removing the water tank (9) in advance
will provide better access.
4. Connect the draining hose (13) to the outlet neck (11) (Fig. 5).
CAUTION! Ensure that the connection is tight.
CAUTION! Do not bend or cover the draining hose.
5. Replace the water tank (if removed) and close the door (8).
6. Place the other end of the draining hose in a vessel or a draining system.
CAUTION! The vessel or draining system must be below the level of the outlet neck. Failure to comply with this
requirement may lead to serious damage and electrocution.
CAUTION! Remove the draining hose after operation.
