Determine water hardness
In order to determine the water hardness in
your place of residence, you can
– look on the website of your water provider.
– telephone your water supplier.
– purchase suitable test strips at the phar-
macy.

1. Obtain the appropriate setting from the
table above.
2. Open the dishwasher door.
Adjusting the water hardness
Do not allow more than 1 minute to elapse
between the following steps, otherwise the
setting process will be interrupted.

1. Open the door of the appliance and
switch the dishwasher on using the button
(7).
The LED (6) will light up.

2. Hold the
(12) button down until the
display shows the current hardness (
H1 to
H6).
3. Press the button (12) as many times
as necessary for the display to show the
desired setting.
4. Switch the dishwasher off using the but-
ton (7).
The hardness level setting is saved.
Test run
It is recommended that you carry out a test
run before the first dishwasher cycle in order
to remove residues from the manufacturing
process and in order to ensure that the device
functions perfectly.
If no water escapes during the test run and if
there are no unusual noises, the appliance is
ready to use.
Carry out this test run when the dishwasher
is empty and without any dishwasher deter-
gent.
