Troubleshooting table
Malfunctions can occur in all electrical appliances. This does not necessarily mean there is a
defect in the appliance. For this reason, please check the tables to see if you can correct the
malfunction.
WARNING!
Risk of electric shock in case of improper repair!
Conducting improper repairs to the dishwasher puts the person carrying out the repairs and
the user in danger.
■ Only authorised specialists may repair the dishwasher. If in doubt, contact our service de-
partment (see „Service department“ on page EN-29).
■ Only carry out the actions which are described in this user manual.
■ Never repair defective dishwashers – or dishwashers which you presume to be defective –
yourself. You can endanger yourself and subsequent users.
NOTICE
Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the dishwasher can lead to property damage and to damage to the
dishwasher.
■ If water overfl ows, close the water supply immediately and do this before contacting the
service department (see „Service department“ on page EN-29).
■ If the water has overfl owed, remove any water standing in the dishwasher before restart-
ing a programme.
Problem Possible cause Solution
1 The dishwasher can-
not be switched on.
The mains plug has not
been inserted into a sock-
et.
Connect the mains plug to the socket.
There is no voltage be-
ing supplied through the
socket.
Check the fuse. Check the socket by connect-
ing another device.
2 The selected dish-
washer programme will
not start or it stops.
The dishwasher’s door is
not closed properly.
Close the dishwasher door.
The water tap is not prop-
erly turned on.
Turn the water tap on completely.
The inlet hose is defec-
tive.
Contact our service department (see „Service
department“ on page EN-29).
There is a risk of over-
flowing. The electrical wa-
ter stop system has been
activated.
3 The control display for
the dishwasher salt
is displayed although
dishwasher salt has
been refilled.
The dishwasher salt is
clumpy.
Stir the dishwasher salt using the end of a
spoon or similar.
4 The water is not run-
ning or it is running
only very slowly.
There is a kink in the inlet
hose.
Lay out the inlet hose in such a manner that it
is not kinked.
The water tap is not prop-
erly turned on.
Turn the water tap on completely.
