Using the microwave oven

Operation
The multi-function modes (O-1 and (O-2 differ
in relation to the proportion of microwaving and
grilling they involve:
(O-1: Microwave oven 30.3%; Grill 69.7%
(O-2: Microwave oven 54.5%; Grill 45.5%
Defrosting
You can defrost frozen foods using the defrost
programme. Depending on the quantity of food
you wish to defrost, the programme duration
can be automatically adapted. The following ta-
ble provides you with an overview of quantities
and cooking times.

Example: You wish to defrost 500 g of a frozen
food.
1. Place the frozen dishes in the cooking
chamber and close the cooking chamber
door 1.
2. Turn the control knob 9 in a clockwise di-
rection until the position “defrost” has been
reached.
The letters dEF will appear on the display.
3. Turn the function controller 10 in a clockwise
direction and turn it until 500 is displayed.
4. Press the function controller 10.
The defrost process will launch; the display
will count down from 13:00.
Using the automatic programs
Your microwave oven has 9 automatic pro-
grammes. You can select them by repeatedly
pressing the “Menu” button 13.
For all of the automatic programmes, you can
select between several quantity settings in order
to adapt the relevant programme to the quantity
you wish to cook. The cooking time will change
automatically.
The programme table which gives an overview
of all automatic programmes and the adjust-
ment options can be found on page 24.
Example 1: For a meal consisting of leftovers,
you wish to warm up approx. 300 g of a previ-
ously-cooked dish.
1. Place the container with the food in the
cooking chamber and close the cooking
chamber door 1.
2. Press the “Menu” button 13 as many times
as required for the following to be displayed
A-5.
3. Turn the function controller 10 in a clockwise
direction until 300 appears on the display.
4. Press the function controller 10.
The warming process will begin, the display
will count down from 2:00.
At the end of the defrosting process, 4 sig-
nal tones will be audible.
Example 2: You want to cook a medium-sized
roast chicken.
1. Place the dish with the roast chicken into
the cooking chamber and close the door to
the cooking chamber1.
2. Press the“Menu” button 13 as often as is
needed for A-7 to appear in the display.
3. Turn the function controller 10 in an anti-
clockwise direction until the relevant weight
for the chicken appears on the display, e.g.
1,000 g.
