The microwave should not be positioned di-
rectly next to a refrigerator or a freezer. This
will increase its energy consumption unnec-
essarily due to heat emission.
The microwave should be positioned at
least 2 m away from radios, televisions
etc., so that the reception is not disrupted.
Cleaning before first use
The appliance should be cleaned before first
use so that, for example, packaging residues
will not negatively affect the taste of the food.
1. Completely empty the cooking chamber.
2. Wipe the appliance inside and outside with
a soft, damp cloth.
3. Leave the cooking chamber door 1 open so
that the oven can completely dry out.
4. Clean the glass rotary plate 3, the rotisserie
rack 6, the roller ring 5, and the rotary plate
drive 4 by hand with some washing up liq-
uid.
Inserting the rotary plate
NOTICE
Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the microwave
oven may lead to damage.
Do not use the glass rotary plate if
upside down.
1. Place the rotary plate drive 4 in the recess
in the middle and the roller ring 5 on the bot-
tom of the cooking chamber.
2. Place the glass rotary plate 3 with the ribbed
side facing downwards onto the roller ring 5
and the rotary plate drive 4.
Connecting the microwave
1. Check that the connection voltage of the
microwave oven corresponds to the mains
voltage in your home (see type plate on the
back of the microwave oven).
2. Connect the microwave to a properly in-
stalled protective contact socket with suffi-
cient fuse protection (see “Technical data”
on page 32).
You will hear a signal tone and the display
1:00 will appear on the display.
Heating up food for the first
time
A slight odour may be produced when the tubu-
lar heating elements are used for the first time.
This is not harmful and will disappear after a
short time.
Heat up the microwave for 10 minutes in Grill
mode (see section “Setting cooking time” on
page 21).
