Game idea 6:
The royal secret number
Who works out by guesswork, the secret number of
the clever king’s prodigy?
Guessing game for 3 – 6 players.
You need
The pencil, a small piece of paper for the king’s prodigy and a
sheet of paper for the rest of players.
Preparation
Write down all the numbers from 1 to 20 on the sheet of
paper.
Get the pencil ready.
How to play
The player with the darkest eyes can be the king’s prodigy.
They secretly write any number between 1 and 20 on the
small piece of paper and keep it hidden.
Now the other players should find out the secret number.
One by one you put questions that have to be answered
with a straight “yes“ or “no“.
Example:
“Is it an even number?
Is the number bigger than 12?
Can the number be divided by 3?”
After each answer you cross out all the numbers on the
sheet which are no longer possible.
If for example the secret number is an even number,
you cross out all uneven numbers (1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 etc.)
End of the game
Whoever guesses the the secret number, can be the new
king’s prodigy.
