Does the apprentice stick to the card, in a magic magnetic
way?

Spellbinding magical force! You have broken the spell cast on
this card! Detach the card from the apprentice and put it in
front of you. Now draw the next card from the pile and place
it on the spot left free in the enchanted forest.

Darn! Bad luck! You don't get a card this round. The card
stays on its place in the enchanted forest. But memorize this
card carefully, as Shaggy Beard did not put a spell on it.
Then it is the turn of the next player, who takes the apprentice
and rolls the rod.
End of the Game
The game ends as soon as the last card is placed on an
enchanted forest. The players pile up their cards and the player
with the highest pile wins the game. In the case of a draw there
are various winners.
Variation “Magic Scores”
The same rules apply as in the basic game, except for the
following changes:
The cards show different numbers of creatures. At the end, the
players count the creatures on the cards they have collected. The
player with the highest score wins. In case of a draw there are
various winners. Players who can't count yet are assisted by
another player or an adult.

Who will find and release the most spellbound creatures?
Preparation of the Game
Place the four forests in the center of the table. Shuffle all 28
cards and place them in a pile next to any of the forests. Put four
cards on each forest. Get the magicians' apprentice and the
magic rolling rod ready.
How to Play
Play in a clockwise direction. Whoever has been in a magic forest
most recently may start the game. Oh, no one has ever been in a
magic forest? Then the youngest player starts by throwing the
magic rolling rod.
Now choose one of the four cards, lying in the forest, which cor-
responds to the color on the die. Grab the apprentice, put him on
this card and lift him up.
