Warm up Game “Little Treasure Hunt”
This variation is a game for easy initiation and suited for younger
vampires. Thereafter you can dare to play the “Big Treasure Hunt”.
How to Play
Play in a clockwise direction.
The player with the sharpest teeth may start. If you can’t agree, the youn-
gest one starts by rolling all six dice.
Hint: Use the lid of the box and roll the dice inside it so that they don’t
tumble all over.
1. Rolling the Dice and Scoring
You can roll the dice up to three times.
Take a look at the symbols of the picture which your vampire is in front
of. After rolling the dice, place those dice apart which show a correspon-
ding symbol. Roll remaining dice.
The question marks are of no meaning in this variation.
Important! You can only move your vampire if you have rolled the
exact and correct number of symbols.
Example
It’s Julia’s turn. The picture shows two spiders and 2 castles.
Julia starts and rolls 4 rats, 1 spider and 1 bat. She places the spider
die apart.
The symbols of the other 5 dice are useless so she throws the dice
again.
Now 3 spiders and 2 rats appear.
Julia is happy as she needs one of the three spiders.
Now she is only missing two castles.
Then she rolls the remaining four dice a third and last time.
Three castles and 1 rat appear. She cheers as she has collected all
the symbols of the picture.
As a reward she can move her vampire.

Preparation of the Game
First pop up the castle.
The game board is not spread out on the table but placed vertically like
an accordion. Make sure the game board is stretched out as far as
possible without risking that it falls over.
The players choose a vampire and dress him with the corresponding
cloak. The player then places their vampire in front of the first picture on
the left hand side of the castle.
Important! Take a seat so that everybody sits in front of the same side
of the castle.
If this is not possible, take into account that both sides are
identical. The vampires however all have to be located on
the same side of the castle.
Finally the six dice are placed ready for playing. Any remaining vampires
are put back in the game box.
The coats of arms are not needed for this warm up game.
The Pictures
On each wall of the castle there are four pictures showing different sym-
bols.
The same symbols you find on the dice.
In order to move, a vampire has to roll the
combination of the symbols shown on the
picture which he is standing in front of at that moment.
There are also question marks on some pictures -
however they are only relevant in the main game “
The Big Treasure Hunt”.
