If a player guesses that you are cheating and trying to throw the
wrong mushroom into the cauldron they shout out loud:
”Hotchpotch“!
Important: They have to shout before the mushroom starts to slip
from the spoon into the cauldron.
The player with the spoon has to uncover the mushroom.
• Caught? You really wanted to cheat and place the wrong
mushroom into the cauldron?
You have to return the mushroom behind the screen. Furthermore you
get another mushroom from the player who double crossed your
plans.They choose a mushroom, and push it face downtowards you.
• Innocent? You wanted to throw a mushroom of the corres
ponding color into the cauldron?
Now you can do it and you can take another of your mushrooms and
pass it on upside down to the player who was suspicious.
Then it’s the turn of the next player.
Swapping rule for experienced soup witches:
Instead of throwing a mushroom into the cauldron you can decide to
swap mushrooms before rolling the dice. Choose any of your
mushrooms and pass it upside down to any player who has to accept
the mushroom and return one of their mushrooms – also upside
down – to you.
This turn you can’t throw any mushrooms into the cauldron.
Then it’s the turn of the next player.
End of the game
The game ends as soon as the first player has thrown their last
mushroom into the cauldron. Loudly they shout: ”the witch’s soup is
ready!“
Then they take the magic potion and add it to their cauldron. The potion
scores an extra point.
Finally they take the salt cellar and introduce it into any cauldron.
Important: The salt cellar is a minus point.
