Second game possibility: the dice game
A dice game for 1 player ages 3+ and an adult.
Aim of the game
Who will be the first to reach the locomotive with their game piece?
Preparation
The jigsaw pieces, picture-base and bear reflector are not needed and stay in the box.
Before starting the game and the journey with the locomotive you need shoes with laces. First,
tighten up your shoelaces. The adult and the child lace it up together. Tie the shoe-lace to a
bowknot of the shoe shown on the playing board. Then the game can start.
Your child takes the kindergarten child as his/her game piece. You take the nursery-school
teacher as your game piece. Put both pieces next to each other on the table. The locomotive
(with freight car) is also placed on the table at a distance of approx. 12 inches from both game
pieces. The other pieces are sorted into the corresponding dips of the game board. Get the dice
ready.
How to play
You take turns to roll the dice. The child starts.
Depending on the colored symbol that appears on the dice the player takes the corresponding
game piece and lines it up (cookie or bag or upright milk bottle) next to their own game piece
in the direction of the locomotive. Then the child puts their game piece past the figure just
placed and returns this game piece back into its dip in the game board. Then it’s the turn of the
next player.
End of the game
The game ends as soon as the game piece of a player has reached or passed the locomotive
thus winning the game.
