Failures - Causes - Remedy
CAUTION: FUSES AGAINST OVERHEATING MUST FIRST BE CHECKED!
Failure
Cause Remedy
Compressor does not
start or motor circuit
switch turns off after a
short time at 230 V
appliances:
1. Extension cable is too long or cable cross-
section is too small
2. Defective condensers or relays in the engine
terminal board.
3. Compressor switched off by unplugging.
4. Low outdoor temperature
1. Use the right cable (store it in a warm
environment; fill with 5W40 oil for light running)
2. Contact the customer service centre
3. Deflate the air jet and restart
Compressor does not
start or motor circuit
switch turns off after a
short time at 400 V
appliances:
1. Power line defect
2. Blown fuse
3. Compressor switched off by unplugging
1. Check whether there is power in all 3 phases
(pic. 5.1 Plug connection)
2. Check the protection whether any fuse has not
blown
3. Deflate the air jet and restart
Oil leaks from
compressor:
1. 400 V appliances: Compressor rotation
direction is wrong and oil spirts on the oil filler
neck.
2. Medium obstacle in the cylinder head sealing
is broken through or compressors presses air
to the engine case – oil leaks from the filler
neck or around the oil gauge.
3. Check the oil charge: if the charge is above
the given maximum value, oil may leak in
various places.
4. Check the compressor in all screwed
connections and at sealing and find out where
oil exactly leaks as sealing may get released
to some extent after some time.
5. Attach a piece of paper to the protective grid
and check the rotation direction. If the paper
sticks, the rotation direction is all right. If the
paper is blown away, the rotation direction
may be changed.
6. Caution: Rotation direction may change
when the appliance is operated from any
other outlet.
1. Respect the rotation direction arrow on the
appliance. Change the power line poling.
2. Change the head sealing and tighten the
cylinder head screw after 3 test runs with a force
of max. 50 Nm.
3. Empty oil to the normal level.
4. Tighten the screws above the sealing or order
new sealing and replace the old one.
5. The rotation direction may be changed by
screwing the phase changer. L2 is replaced by
L3 for common plugs.
In an idle state, air is
released from the
compressor oil filler
neck or air is blown
through the discharge
valve on the bottom
part of the pressure
switch:
1. Clack valve is untight or the rubber sealing in
the clack valve is defective.
2. Start-relief valve on the pressure switch is
defective.
1. Open the clack valve cover and check the rubber
sealing state, clean it and order new one if
necessary. Caution: Release air to full extent
first!
2. Contact the customer service centre
Reaching the specified
pressure by the
compressor takes
much longer than
before or is not
reached at all
(take the above-mentioned
steps yourself only if
possessing the necessary
expert knowledge,
otherwise, contact the
customer service centre)
1. Head or valve sealing is defective.
2. Valve membranes are broken through, valve
shims or springs are broken,
3. Valves have been carbonised due to long
operating time.
4. Clack valve is dirty
1. Check and replace if necessary.
2. Check and replace if necessary
3. Carbon deposition. To be cleaned or, better,
replaced.
4. Check and replace if necessary
Other defects or failures
If not possessing the necessary technical or expert qualification, do not experiment. Consult the situation with the customer service or
send the defective parts to be repaired by the manufacturer.
