Connection
The 3 EURO-AV sockets on the satellite receiver
have many uses. The drawing shows standard
wiring. A second video recorder can be connected
to the decoder socket (DEC). The menus can only
be displayed via the EURO AV TV socket.
For VCR playback, the signal path is automatically
looped through to the TV set via the receiver.
A connected decoder is automatically linked (eva-
luation of the switching voltage). For decoders that
do not produce a switching voltage, the switching
voltage can be activated when the programme posi-
tion is selected by programming the receiver for the
decoder socket (DEC).
If a terrestrial aerial connector is provided, this can
directly be connected with the video recorder
(or TV set).
Ther STR 622 TWIN also produces excellent stereo
and mono radio signals. Many radio stations have
been preprogrammed. In radio mode, the TV screen
is blanked. A hifi system can be connected to the
“AUDIO OUT R/L” cinch sockets.
For TV sets without EURO-AV socket, the HF output
“
ń ” can be used.
For this, assign the modulator to reception unit A
(see section "Assigning the modulator" on page 21).
The modulator output is preset to channel 38. If this
channel should already be used by your video
recorder or a local transmitter, change the channel
(see section “Changing the modulator channel” on
page 21). The TV set must be tuned to the same
channel.

The satellite receiver can be controlled via a
specially prepared GRUNDIG video recorder which
is connected to the VIDEO CONTROL socket.
Depending on the video recorder, it is possible to
pre-programme up to 8 different broadcasts.
Connect the cable arriving from the SAT aerial by
means of an F-connector to the screw terminal of
the STR 622 TWIN as shown in the figure.

In this case, a special Y-Scart cable is necessary
to display the Info tables from the video recorder
on the screen of the TV set (see figure for connec-
tion). For more information, contact a GRUNDIG
after-sales service.
