With the MODE button you can select a number of functions.
The settings of these functions then can be changed with the
ɼɦ buttons or with the numeric buttons on the remote con-
trol handset.
It follows a description of the mode functions for the selected
programme position.
COPY
Indication in the display: "COPY".
Select the programme position to which you wish to copy with
the ɼɦ buttons or with the numeric buttons of the remote
control handset. The programme position number flashes.
When pressing the MEMORY button the copy function is exe-
cuted. The old programme position is retained and can be re-
allocated if desired.
COPY for radio programmes
The COPY function is especially useful for storing not yet pre-
programmed SAT radio programmes which are broadcast on
sound subcarriers in parallel to a number of TV programmes.
For this, first copy the desired TV programme position on a
free radio programme position.
Press the MODE button : Indication "COPY".
Then press the RADIO button and select a free SAT radio pro-
gramme position with the
ɼɦbuttons or with the numeric
buttons on the remote control handset, then store the setting
with the MEMORY button.
Then press the AUDIO button to select ton 2 (mono) or ton 3
(stereo) and enter the desired sound carrier with the ɼɦbut-
tons or with the numeric buttons on the remote control
handset.
Store the settings with the MEMORY button.
For stereo, only the lower sound carrier for the left channel
is to be enterd. The right channel then is automatically stored
in memory.
Sort exchange
"Sort" (sort/exchange) is indicated in the display. With this
function, the programme positions are exchanged.
Select the programme position you wish to exchange with the
ɼɦ buttons or with the numeric buttons on the remote con-
trol handset. The programme position number flashes.
When pressing the MEMORY button, the sort function is exe-
cuted and the programme positions are exchanged.

" – IF bandwidth
The display indicates "

If the aerial signal is very weak, or to suppress interference
signals to improve the picture quality, you should switch to
narrow bandwidth "

" with the ɼɦbuttons.
When this is done, press the P/F button and use the ɼɦbut-
tons to correct the frequency in single steps for minimum
spikes, then store the setting with the MEMORY button.
Hub – Setting the video contrast
The frequency-modulated satellite signals are broadcast with
different deviations (Hub). To ensure an optimum picture, the
receiver must be set accordingly.
Press the VIDEO button. The display indicates the video
deviation (h for Hub) and the video polarity, for example:
With the ɼɦ buttons, it is possible to select between the fol-
lowing video deviations:
h1 = 25 MHz, h2 = 22.5 MHz, and h3 = 16 MHz (e.g. Astra)
as well as h -1, h -2, and h -3.
For the reception of the C and S band with 4 GHz respectively
2,5 GHz LNCs, an inverted video signal is required. Therefore
the setting h -1 ... h -3 must be selected in this case.
dEco – Decoder
The display indicates "d

co" (Decoder).
With the
ɼɦ buttons, you can select beween the settings
"Auto", "On AV" or "On V".
"Auto"matic: Select this setting for decoders which are auto-
matically switched on by an internal switching voltage if an
encoded broadcast is received (e.g. Première).
"On AV" (Audio/Video): Select this setting for broadcasts with
encoded video and audio signal and where the decoder is not
automatically switched on.
"On V" (Video): Select this setting if only the video signal is
encoded and the decoder is not automatically switched on.
