After switching on with the mains button 6, the receiver au-
tomatically switches to the last selected programme position
(Last Station Memory).
Use the ɼɦ buttons, the numeric buttons, or the programme
buttons
]|
on the remote control handset to select the
desired programme positions.
The display indicates the current programme position of the
selected reception unit. The programme position number and
the station name are also briefly displayed on the picture
screen of the TV set.
Example:
At the left, the programme position selected on reception unit
A ("TV") is indicated, and at the right that of the reception unit
B ("VCR").
The indication "TV" means that a TV programme is being
received, "RADIO" means that the programme position is set
to a radio programme.
Switching on from standby is done with the
ɼɦ buttons or
with the numeric buttons on the remote control handset.
When using the programme buttons

on the remote
control handset, the receiver is switched on with the last se-
lected programme position (Last Station Memory).
Selecting programme / frequency
Use the P/F button to switch between programme position
and frequency entry mode.
In programme mode, the display indicates the programme
positions P1 to P199, in frequency mode it indicates 700 to
2050 MHz.
The actual reception range of the receiver depends on the
LNC used.
9.75 GHz LNC:
10.00 GHz LNC:
Indication range
of the receiver:
When selecting the input frequency, make sure that the set
frequency lies within the actual reception range of the LNC.
(10)700 MHz (1)1800 MHz
(10)910 MHz (1)2050 MHz
(10)700 MHz (1)2050 MHz
Attention: Cancel the button blocking (see page 3)
In the frequency mode, a direct frequency entry is possible
with the numeric buttons on the remote control handset.
For this, the reception unit A should be selected. The indica-
tion A lights up in the display. The corresponding programme
position of reception unit B is automatically programmed.
It is possible to increase the frequency in 10 MHz steps with
the
ɦ button, and to decrease it in 3 MHz steps with the
ɼ button.
In this way, you can scan the entire frequency range at high
speed in forward or reverse direction.
When performing single steps, these are reduced to 0.5 MHz
appropriate for finetuning.
As the receiver accepts only 4-digit entries, the first digit of
the transmission frequency is neither to be entered nor is it
indicated.
Examples:
Transmision frequency of ARD on Astra: 11494 MHz
Entry on receiver: 1 1494
Transmission frequency of ZDF on Astra: 10964 MHz
Entry on receiver: 1 964
Enter the satellite transmission frequency. This requires the
correct selection of the oscillator frequency (see section
"Important Information
/ Connecting the SAT receiver to
the television set/video recorder") of 9.75 and
10.00 GHz, respectively.
For LNCs with an oscillator frequency other than 9.75 or
10 GHz, it is necessary to select 10 GHz. In this case, the pro-
gramme frequency to set does not agree with the satellite's
transmission frequency. Determine the correct frequency to
set by subtracting the LNC frequency from the satellite's
transmission frequency.
Examples:
Transmision frequency of ARD on Astra:
11494 MHz
LNC frequency: 19665 MHz
Frequency to set: = 1829 MHz
Transm. frequ. of PRO 7 on Kopernikus
: 12559 MHz
LNC frequency: 11475 MHz
Frequency to set: = 1084 MHz
If necessary (e.g. when the signal is very weak), it is possible
to individually correct the finetuning of the reception unit B.
Select the reception unit B with the A/B button and correct the
set frequency.
Note!
Each later frequency change of a programme position on
reception unit A means that the correction of the same pro-
gramme position on reception unit B is cancelled.
